The Hunger Games On Stage!!! 🏹🔥

Final theatre show of the year, the long anticipated The Hunger Games On Stage! I had been looking forward to this new production - imagine the theatricality of the storytelling and the boundless possibilities of a brand new Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre which was built for this show. And I was not disappointed.

@Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, 11th November 2025 (Section District 11, Row D, Seat 14)

The theatre seating blocks were divided into "Districts" - this syncs with some fine details in the show which you may notice when you're there! We were sat at the "poorest" (furthest away from the stage) District 11, but even though the seats are supposed to have a restricted view, I could easily see every action on and off stage, and audience sitting in every corner of every district will be entertained. We even get to see some close-up actions in Act 2 😉

Light design was spectacular and very intelligently curated to support the set and storyline. [Spoiler alert!] I loved how lighting was used in the scene where the Tracker Jackers were attacking the tributes. Stage design was interactive (some seats will "move" during the show!) and refreshing to see. I wasn't expecting any singing and dancing but was pleasantly surprised to see a few choreographed scenes!

The only small letdown we had was - there was no ice cream served in the theatre! Shame but I suppose the play was so action-packed we almost forgot about our ice-cream tradition during the intermission!
